Spartan Trail Classic trail running, no obstacles, many distances. Each race takes place on beautiful, rugged trails around the world. Spartan also hosts the Spartan Trail World Championship series, with some of trail running’s most iconic events and athletes.

Summit Bechtel Reserve, located adjacent to the legendary New River Gorge, is a trail runner’s paradise. Here you’ll find varied terrain from wide buttery singletrack to steep and technical off-trail sections, all winding through a lush, jungle-like forest and over steep, punchy climbs.

This park is known as a place for adventurers of all kinds, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself running by an archery range, a rock wall, or under a zip line, but keep your eyes on the trail because there’s another climb ahead!
